Job Title: UX Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a UX Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of user-Centered design principles, documenting user requirements, user needs/pain points, and Interaction/Interface design experience utilizing user-Centered methods. The candidate must be able to design and conduct formative various user research tests, derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis. They must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust. The candidate must also provide a digital portfolio of design work for review.

Key Responsibilities:

* Derive business processes, analyze user needs, assist in requirements definition, design browser-based interfaces, and design and conduct usability testing
* Elicit business goals and user needs from stakeholders
* Facilitate customer discovery sessions
* Create Conceptual Models, Journey Maps, Personas and Scenarios of Use
* Create and refine screen prototypes
* Document user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations

Requirements:

* Minimum of 6 years of direct Interaction/Interface design experience in User-Centered Methods and User Analysis
* Minimum of 6 years of experience documenting user requirements, screen designs, and design recommendations
* Minimum of 4 years of experience designing and conducting formative usability tests in both formal and informal settings
* Minimum of 4 years of experience preparing and presenting findings and recommendations in small and large group settings
* Must provide a digital portfolio of design work for review

Desired Skills:

* Experience using Axure RP prototyping software
* Experience with AdobeXD prototyping software
* Experience with Pega and/or ServiceNow platforms
* Experience with the Agile/Scrum methodology
* Understanding of responsive design
* Prior experience supporting government agencies
* Understanding of Section 508 and its requirements regarding design
* Hold additional UX Certifications such as UX Master Certification (NN/g) or UX Design Immersive (General Assembly)

Education:

* Bachelor's Degree with 7+ years of experience
* Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
