Position Details:
  • Full - Time (5:30 pm - 6:00 am)
  • Department: Security Services
  • This role reports to a Security Supervisor or Security Manager
Key Responsibilities:
  • Security and Safety Specialists are tasked with ensuring the safety and security of the facility and their designated area during their shift.
  • They must remain alert to any suspicious activities and individuals, taking appropriate measures to maintain a secure environment.
  • Documentation skills are essential, as officers are required to write clear and concise reports.
  • While typically assigned to one shift, flexibility to work across all shifts is necessary.
  • Essential job functions include conducting regular patrols and performing duties without bias or discrimination.
  • Successful candidates must undergo fingerprinting, FBI and State criminal history checks, and background investigations.
Qualifications:

Required:
  • Candidates must possess at least a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience in security (4 years).
  • A valid driver's license is required.
  • Ability to obtain a Special Police Officer Commission from the State of Maryland within one year of hire.
  • BLS Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association is mandatory.
Preferred:
  • One (1) year of experience in security, firefighting, or law enforcement.
