Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at EMCOR Group. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventive maintenance work orders according to schedule
  • Execute all work in a safe and professional manner, completing tasks accurately and on time
  • General cleaning of properties, trash and graffiti removal, pressure washing, recycling, and deficiency reporting
  • Perform landscaping and snow removal duties, including light tree trimming, irrigation knowledge and support, plant watering, and clearing walkways
  • Maintain and repair interior and exterior finishes of buildings, reporting deficiencies
  • Paint interior and exterior walls and trim, light poles, trash cans, and mall office
  • Light electrical, bulb and ballast changes, emergency lighting, and deficiency reporting
  • Assist Lead Technician in maintaining tools and equipment, completing and submitting paperwork, and daily logs
  • Communicate with on-site vendors and coordinate work, timelines, and access
  • Light plumbing repairs to mall offices and restrooms, general plumbing troubleshooting, and reporting
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in maintenance, with a combination of training, education, and experience
  • Two to five years of maintenance experience and familiarity with commercial properties
  • Valid driver's license
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups
  • Strong problem-solving and logic skills
  • Ability to read and understand Standard Operating Procedures, Local Operating Procedures, and retain information
  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing situations
  • Self-motivated and able to handle multiple jobs with minimal supervision
Competencies
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts
  • Ability to manage time wisely and remain productive while working independently
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients to determine and service needs
