We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced California Central Valley Green Sturgeon Conservation Coordinator to join our team at Lynker Corporation. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the recovery of the Southern Distinct Population Segment (sDPS) green sturgeon.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with CCVO to develop and implement a comprehensive green sturgeon recovery plan.
- Support CCVO outreach/education efforts to raise awareness about green sturgeon conservation in the Central Valley.
- Work with NOAA partner agencies to advance sturgeon science and inform conservation efforts.
Deliverables:
- Develop a detailed green sturgeon recovery plan.
- Conduct regular reviews of IEP annual work plan elements and provide reports to CCVO staff.
- Assist with the development of biological opinions related to sturgeon conservation.
- Bachelor's degree in fisheries, biology, coastal science, or environmental science.
- At least five years of paid, volunteer, or student research experience in the natural resource management field.
- Expertise in green sturgeon life history in the California Central Valley.
- Expertise in the Endangered Species Act (ESA) section 7 consultation process.
