Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the technical execution of hydraulic resource engineering projects from inception to completion.
  • Formulate technical strategies and cost analyses, assess field and modeling data, interpret modeling outcomes, and conduct hydraulic design.
  • Engage in technical documentation (proposals, memos, reports, etc.).
  • Collaborate with fellow technical personnel.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies (e.g., Water Management Districts, Florida Department of Environmental Protection, and the Mining and Mitigation Program).
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Hydraulic or Civil Engineering.
  • 4 to 8 years of experience in civil or hydraulic engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of Florida regulations pertaining to Water Management Districts and the Department of Environmental Protection.
  • Experience in hydraulic modeling and analysis (e.g., HEC RAS, ICPR4, XPSWMM).
  • Proven experience collaborating with public utilities in providing potable water resources.
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.) designation preferred.
  • Project management experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with DHI MIKE SHE or equivalent, along with a fundamental understanding of integrated surface water and groundwater modeling.
  • Excellent technical writing abilities.
