Job Title: Swim Instructor

Emerald Youth Foundation is seeking a dedicated and passionate Swim Instructor to join our team. As a Swim Instructor, you will be responsible for providing direct leadership, instruction, and motivation to participants in our Learn to Swim Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct swim lessons in accordance with our Learn to Swim Program Curriculum.
  • Develop positive relationships with participants and families, encouraging parent involvement.
  • Provide motivational support and guidance to encourage new or inexperienced swimmers.
  • Cover basic water safety skills and instruction.
  • Identify and recruit potential volunteers.
  • Maintain required records.
  • Constantly monitor the pool area to ensure safety.
  • Assist with pool and pool area upkeep and cleanliness.
  • Train and supervise volunteers as needed.
  • Complete accident and incident reports as needed.

Requirements:

  • Dedicated Christian with clear knowledge of the Gospel and a passion for the mission of Emerald Youth Foundation.
  • Red Cross Certified-Water Safety Instructor preferred.
  • Must be able to swim.
  • CPR, First Aid Certification preferred (will train if needed and sessions are available).
