Information Systems Security Manager III

Location: Washington, United States

Position Overview: This role requires on-site presence in a secure environment. Remote work is not an option.

Security Clearance: TS/SCI with the capability to obtain and sustain a CI polygraph.

Certifications: Must hold a current DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute a range of Information Assurance (IA) and Computer Network Defense (CND) tasks that are extensive in scope, supporting multi-tier IA and CND operations.
  • Offer assistance for an organization’s information assurance initiatives.
  • Conduct security certification evaluations of assets, manage vulnerabilities, and provide customer support.
  • Support the development, coordination, implementation, and enforcement of information systems security policies and standards.
  • Ensure the operational security posture of an information system or program aligns with established security policies and procedures.
  • Oversee the daily security operations of the information system.
  • Assess security solutions to confirm compliance with security requirements for classified information processing.
  • Perform vulnerability and risk assessments to facilitate certification and accreditation processes.
  • Manage configuration for information system security software, hardware, and firmware.
  • Evaluate system changes and their security implications.
  • Prepare and review documentation including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, and Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages.
  • Implement policies and directives from senior technical leads.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in technical writing and documentation maintenance, including user guides and manuals.
  • Collect technical information and maintain an up-to-date internal documentation library.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field; alternatively, an additional four years of experience may substitute for the degree.
  • A minimum of six years of relevant experience beyond educational qualifications.
  • Possession of a current DoD 8570 IAT II or IAM II certification is essential.
  • Experience in a DoD or Intelligence Community environment is preferred.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a CI polygraph is required.
