Position Summary
The Program Specialist plays a crucial role in facilitating the referral, intake, and communication processes for the Employment, Advancement, and Retention Network (EARN) and the Work Ready (WR) program. This position operates under the guidance of the Senior Program Manager and is essential for ensuring effective collaboration among various stakeholders.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Contract Management:
    • Collaborate with the Senior Manager to ensure the effective delivery of EARN and WR services in accordance with established guidelines.
    • Assist in planning, executing, and assessing projects to meet performance goals and identify areas for enhancement.
    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of EARN, WR, and Priority Populations program protocols to inform service design and evaluation.
    • Develop and manage program-related materials for community partners.
  • Systems Management:
    • Oversee the referral directory and tracking systems to ensure optimal usage.
    • Monitor referral activities, addressing any challenges to enhance the referral process.
    • Facilitate effective communication and coordination between service providers and stakeholders.
    • Ensure successful outcomes for special populations, including job seekers with criminal backgrounds.
    • Manage data entry and reporting to demonstrate progress and outcomes to funders.
  • Communications Management:
    • Support promotional efforts for EARN and WR by creating engaging content.
    • Collect participant feedback to identify programming gaps and inform improvements.
    • Organize meetings and collaborative activities with project stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Strong project management skills and a proactive approach.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively.
  • Experience in establishing collaborative relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to facilitate group discussions and synthesize complex information.
  • Willingness to travel locally as required.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in workforce development or related fields.
  • Knowledge of program development and local workforce systems.

Experience:

  • Experience in project management is essential.
  • Familiarity with government-funded programs is preferred.
