Role Responsibilities

The Facilities Maintenance Lead will be accountable for executing a wide range of tasks to install, troubleshoot, repair, and uphold production and facility equipment in accordance with safety, predictive, and productive maintenance protocols. This role is essential for achieving the operational goals of the organization.

Key Duties Include:

  • Executing diverse tasks to install and maintain production machinery and facility equipment.
  • Plumbing: Involves the repair or replacement of fixtures such as faucets, toilets, and washing machines, as well as clearing clogged drains.
  • HVAC: Responsible for changing air filters and performing basic maintenance and repairs.
  • Experience with high-pressure boiler systems is required.
  • Appliance Repair: Involves the repair and replacement of major household appliances, including refrigerators, dishwashers, ovens, washers, and dryers.
  • Electrical Work: Involves repairing and replacing power switches, fuses, wall outlets, and ceiling lights.
  • Snow Removal: Includes clearing snow from walkways and driveways and applying rock salt to icy surfaces.
  • Providing emergency and unscheduled repairs as needed.
  • Diagnosing issues, replacing or repairing components, testing, and making necessary adjustments.
  • Conducting regular preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
  • Adhering to safety regulations and maintaining clean and organized workspaces.
  • Performing additional job-related duties as assigned.

Customer Service: This role requires professional and courteous communication with tenants when scheduling and delivering maintenance services, as well as with contracted vendors for supplementary facility services.

Time Management: Must maintain an organized scheduling and tracking system to ensure timely completion of maintenance requests based on urgency.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor.
  • Familiarity with boiler systems.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, along with building maintenance technology.
  • Proficient in using tools and understanding common appliances and devices.
  • Good physical condition and strength, with a willingness to work overtime.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification in HVAC is preferred.
  • Strong management skills are an advantage.

Work Schedule: Standard hours are Monday to Friday, with emergency on-call duties as required.
