UVA Health Cancer Care Gainesville is seeking a full-time Board-Certified/Board Eligible Hematology Oncology Physician to join their growing team. As a key player in delivering comprehensive cancer care to patients in our community, you will support the expansion of oncology services at UVA Health. This unique opportunity combines access to an UVA NCI-designated Cancer Center and the resources of a top-tier tertiary/quaternary medical center, all within a supportive Virginia community.

Responsibilities:

* Provide consults, ongoing treatment management, and follow-up care to patients
* Review diagnostic tests and imaging results
* Manage infusion services and monitor patients during treatment
* Participate in tumor boards, research, and Quality Improvement initiatives
* Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a seamless patient experience from initial diagnosis through survivorship or Palliative Care
* Occasional inpatient rounding

Practice Setting:

Our group is made up of three MD's, support from APP's, clinic nurses, patient navigators, and other support staff. The majority of time will be spent at our Gainesville Cancer Care facility, with occasional services at affiliated hospitals. The patient population is diverse, reflecting a mix of urban and suburban demographics, with a growing demand for oncology services.

At UVA Health Cancer Care Gainesville, we offer expert cancer care for adults, including: Bladder, Bone, Brain, Breast, Colorectal, Esophageal, Gynecologic, Head and neck, Lung, Pancreatic, Prostate, Skin, Stomach, Testicular, and Services such as PET/CT, Chemotherapy, Intensity Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT), Stereotactic Radiosurgery (SRS), Prone Breast Radiation Therapy, Partial Breast Radiation, High-dose Rate (HDR) Brachytherapy, Radium223 Injection, and Image Guided Radiation Therapy.
