Position Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent experience is required. Basic computer proficiency is necessary. Ability to operate small electrical equipment such as vacuum cleaners is essential.
Exceptional customer service skills are a must. Must be able to communicate effectively in English regarding key job responsibilities, including understanding and interpreting chemical labels and safety materials. N/A Job responsibilities involve walking, standing, bending, climbing, and carrying items throughout the workday.
Must be capable of lifting up to 35 pounds independently.For items exceeding 35 pounds, appropriate lifting tools should be utilized, or assistance from at least one colleague is required when feasible.
Unique lifting and movement scenarios will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.Purpose:
The primary responsibility is to implement environmental infection prevention services, which include cleaning, disinfecting, and waste management in both patient care and administrative areas, ensuring safe and well-maintained environments for all.
Accountabilities:
Select suitable cleaning materials and supplies for each task and transport them to the designated work area.
Prepare detergents, germicidal solutions, and other cleaning/disinfecting agents according to established formulas. Sweep, dust mop, and wet mop floor sections, as well as spot clean carpets using appropriate solutions. Shampoo furniture, carpets, and rugs with suitable equipment and supplies, adhering to relevant schedules.
Reorganize equipment and furniture for cleaning, rearrangement, or relocation.
Post-cleaning, arrange furniture and equipment in an orderly fashion according to applicable floor plans for the cleaned area(s). Collect and/or distribute soiled and/or clean linens as necessary.
Remove trash and waste from all areas of the facility as required.Demonstrates commitment to professional growth and competency:
Takes responsibility for attendance and punctuality. Adhere to the attendance standards outlined in the Hospital Policy and Procedure Manual.
Clean and disinfect surfaces.
