About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Operations Director to lead our food manufacturing operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the team's productivity is maximized.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of the food manufacturing operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, overseeing Production, Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
  • Accountable for cost management, including equipment efficiencies, waste, direct labor and materials, while generating reports on financial targets and KPI's.
  • Utilize Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing principles to enhance operational effectiveness.
  • Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Monitor and control operational costs to ensure profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless and efficient workflow.
  • Manage and resolve any operational issues that may arise, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor and analyze key operational metrics, providing regular reports to senior management.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in management, in the food manufacturing/foodservice/retail manufacturing
  • Proven experience in process improvement, Six Sigma, and lean manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership skills with a track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound operational decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of industry regulations and operational best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret operational data and metrics.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
