Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Licensed Behavioral Health Therapist to join our team at Ascension. As a key member of our school-based mental health services, you will provide behavioral health assessment and mental health services to students in a school setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and establish effective therapy treatment goals.
  • Administer individual and group therapy sessions, maintaining thorough and confidential records of observations.
  • Evaluate progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions, making adjustments as needed.
  • Provide patients and families with information on needed resources and therapeutic support in the community.
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team, including behavioral health technicians, school social workers, nurses, prescribers, teachers, team leaders, and other peer counselors, to provide a holistic model of care focused on functional outcomes for students and families.
Requirements
  • Licensure/Certification/Registration:
    • One or more of the following required:
      • Licensed Counselor specializing in Mental Health credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board.
      • Licensed Counselor specializing in Clinical Addiction credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board.
      • Licensed Social Worker specializing in Clinical Practice credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board.
      • Licensed Therapist specializing in Marriage & Family credentialed from the Indiana Behavioral Health and Human Services Licensing Board.
    • BLS Provider preferred, American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Education:
    • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or related field required.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, families, and community providers. A strong understanding of school-based mental health services and a commitment to providing high-quality care are essential.
