Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Mechanic Helper to join our team at Northrop Grumman in Lake Charles, LA. As a key member of our maintenance program, you will assist in servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist Aircraft Mechanic in servicing, repairing, and overhauling aircraft and aircraft engines
  • Perform routine duties such as furnishing materials, tools, and supplies to mechanic; lifting and holding materials in place during operation; cleaning work areas and machines, tools, and equipment
  • Assist in jacking and towing aircraft; inflates tires, fills gasoline tanks and oil reservoirs, and greases aircraft, using grease gun
  • May assist flight line mechanic, worker, or servicer in servicing and repairing aircraft prior to flight
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Able to perform work in an approved environment during specified work hours
  • Able to change physical locations based upon need (including physical ability to travel)
  • Ability to be subject to a variety of physical conditions
  • Able to wear respirator or other safety gear
  • Ability to be subject to areas which could cause various phobias due to height or closed spaces
Preferred Qualifications
  • A&P License
  • Able to obtain/maintain a Secret DoD clearance
