Job Summary

Penn Medicine Lancaster General Health is seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to fill a 0.1 FTE, PRN OTR position. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluation and Treatment Planning
    • Evaluate patients' histories and extract relevant information to inform treatment plans.
    • Conduct objective measurements to assess patients' abilities and needs.
  • Treatment Implementation
    • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with patients, families, and treatment teams.
    • Supervise occupational therapists' assistants or aides in the performance of treatment procedures.
  • Coordination and Communication
    • Coordinate treatment plans with patients, families, and treatment teams through active participation in meetings and departmental conferences.
    • Implement treatment plans and supervise patients' use of equipment, taking necessary precautions to ensure safe implementation.
  • Documentation and Quality Assurance
    • Maintain accurate documentation of evaluation, treatment, assessment, and plan in patients' records.
    • Review the quality and appropriateness of services delivered, using predetermined quality assurance criteria.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Therapy, as well as PA licensure, issued by the State Board of Occupational Therapy.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • One (1) year of general occupational therapy experience.
  • Master of Science degree in Occupational Therapy.
