Assembler Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Assembler to join our team at Forrest Machining Inc. As an Assembler, you will play a critical role in assembling and disassembling components and products, ensuring that the finished products meet our quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret assembly instructions, schematics, blueprints, and diagrams
  • Assemble parts and components using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment
  • Inspect components and finished assemblies for accuracy and quality
  • Align components and adjust clearances to ensure proper fit
  • Utilize measuring equipment and gauges to ensure proper assembly
  • Follow safety protocols at all times
  • Maintain accurate inventory records
  • Clean and lubricate parts and assemblies
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot assembly issues
  • Communicate with co-workers and supervisors

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as an Assembler
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to use hand tools and power tools to assemble parts
  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and procedures
  • Ability to identify potential safety hazards
  • Ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
  • Ability to maintain accurate production records
  • Ability to use basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
