General Summary
The Behavioral Training Coordinator plays a crucial role within the Skills Development Department at BY YOUR SIDE-Autism Therapy Services. This position is dedicated to facilitating training for newly hired Behavior Technicians and Registered Behavior Technicians. The Coordinator will deliver training content in a structured classroom environment, covering essential topics such as ABA fundamentals and practical role-playing scenarios.
In addition to conducting training sessions, the Behavioral Training Coordinator will evaluate the proficiency of new hires through competency assessments, scoring quizzes, and providing support for additional client-based training as necessary. This role is integral in assisting with initial and renewal competency assessments for Registered Behavior Technicians, acting as an Assistant Trainer as defined by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
This is a full-time position that operates within a professional clinical setting. The role may require the ability to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds, with reasonable accommodations available for individuals with disabilities.
Compensation
Starting pay is $21 per hour.

Key Responsibilities
- Accurately track work hours.
- Enhance technical knowledge through ongoing training and meetings.
- Maintain a zero-hour caseload.
- Adhere to the RBT Ethics Code as established by the BACB.
- Conduct orientation training for newly hired Registered Behavior Technicians.
- Provide initial and ongoing training, including fidelity checks for Approved Trainers during observations.
- Assist new hires with on-the-job training for clients exhibiting challenging behaviors.
- Help develop training schedules for new staff.
- Organize and maintain orientation training materials.
- Supplement the RBT 40-hour certification training with practice sessions and role-plays.
- Lead Initial Competency Assessments for RBT candidates.
- Support BCBAs with RBT renewal competency assessments.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Complete daily operational tasks within the center.
- Effectively collect data and document client interactions.
- Uphold the core principles and policies of BY YOUR SIDE.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Training Requirements
- Completion of all RBT training requirements.
- Three months of supervised training with direct client interaction.
- Demonstration of proficiency in training material during orientation.
- Training on utilizing scheduling and documentation systems.
Qualifications
- RBT Certification is mandatory.
- A Bachelor's degree or enrollment in a related field such as psychology or education is preferred.
- Proficiency in data collection systems.
- Experience in creating and organizing therapy materials.
- Strong communication and coaching skills.
