Diesel Mechanic

Drivergent Transportation is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a School Bus Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of school buses.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engine problems, including fuel systems, transmissions, and brakes.
• Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations.
• Inspect and repair electrical systems, including wiring and electrical components.
• Work with vendors to source parts and supplies.
• Collaborate with bus drivers and other mechanics to resolve maintenance issues.

Requirements:

• Valid Mechanic License through ASE or the State of Michigan.
• 1-3 years of experience in diesel engine repair and maintenance.
• Technical school degree in automotive or diesel technology preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.
