Position Overview:
The Program Leader will collaborate with Kenvue's Global ESG & Sustainability team to operationalize and expedite critical initiatives that propel the execution of our Global ESG & Sustainability strategy, focusing on sustainable sourcing, human rights, biodiversity, and achieving net zero emissions.
This position requires a program manager with a proven track record in implementing enterprise-wide projects and assessing the financial implications of sustainability investments. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker, adept at prioritizing multiple competing demands while driving plans to fruition. Additionally, this individual will excel in building cross-functional relationships to align strategies and ensure effective execution, all while demonstrating a strong commitment to sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Drive the overall performance and successful delivery of sustainable sourcing, human rights, biodiversity, and net zero initiatives.
• Oversee program management governance, processes, and deliverables to ensure program success. Utilize project management and organizational change management methodologies, tools, and templates.
• Collaborate with the ESG & Sustainability core team, Healthy Lives Mission (HLM) pillar leads, and business stakeholders to secure necessary resources for effective execution.
• Communicate scope, schedule, budget, risks, issues, and decisions clearly and consistently to the ESG & Sustainability core team and business stakeholders.
• Provide critical thinking and risk management oversight throughout the program lifecycle, coordinating multiple workstreams and managing risks to ensure success.
• Lead and guide the contributions of team members who may not report directly to you but whose cooperation is essential for project success.
• Develop and present executive-level updates on program health, decision-making options, and issues requiring escalation.
• Navigate a high degree of change in a dynamic and complex environment.
• Collaborate closely with HLM Pillar Leads, workstream leads, and ESG finance lead to develop business cases for workstreams, including investment tracking, cost avoidance, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
Required:
- A minimum of a Bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of experience managing complex programs and portfolios.
• Experience in responsible sourcing, business and human rights, or biodiversity within a corporate framework.
• General knowledge across various dimensions of social and environmental sustainability.
• Ability to work effectively with a globally distributed team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership skills, including strategic thinking, relationship management, and organizational abilities.
• Proficient in anticipating challenges and proposing effective mitigation strategies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages to diverse audiences.
• Proven success in collaborating with business teams to define, develop, and implement new processes and programs.
Desired:
- Demonstrated project management experience within formal System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies.
