About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Security Officer to join our team at Wolfspeed. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in protecting people, property, and information while supporting the success of our company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct regular patrols of campus, parking lots, and manufacturing areas to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Document activities and submit written reports as a result of routine patrols, alarms, or other requests for assistance.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, customers, visitors, and vendors.
  • Fulfill requests for assistance from different business departments and contractors, including security escorts, traffic safety/direction details, special events support, and human resources support.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 3 years of full-time work experience.
  • Excellent character, integrity, customer service, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible schedule as needed to support critical issues in a 24X7 environment.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams).
  • Reliable transportation and a valid state-issued driver's license.
  • Ability to frequently sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods of time, which may involve climbing stairs, walking up inclines, and on uneven terrain.
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to run short distances in the event of an emergency.
  • Ability to provide life-saving techniques to the level of your training in the event of an emergency until relieved by more qualified personnel.
  • Must complete all required Wolfspeed training for the position of Security Officer.
  • This position requires the lawful ability to access technical data, information, and areas controlled by United States export control laws and regulations.
