Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Correctional Officer to join our team at the Oregon State Government. As a Correctional Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining order and ensuring the safety and security of our institutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain order and discipline within the institution, enforcing rules and regulations to ensure a safe and secure environment.
  • Provide care and supervision to adults in custody, monitoring their activities and work assignments to promote orderly behavior.
  • Search living quarters for contraband and enforce agency guidelines and standards.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the smooth operation of the institution.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.
