Job Title: Substance Use Disorder Counselor

HealthRIGHT 360 is seeking a qualified Substance Use Disorder Counselor to join our team at Elms House, a residential treatment program for women in San Mateo County. As a Substance Use Disorder Counselor, you will play a critical role in supporting clients in their recovery journey, providing individual and group counseling, and facilitating a supportive treatment environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess client needs and strengths in support of health and recovery
  • Provide individual and group counseling, as well as case management
  • Link clients to internal and external resources based on their treatment needs
  • Document client updates and incidents in the facility log daily
  • Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team as needed
Requirements:
  • Current AOD/SUD registration or certification
  • Experience working with multicultural communities and people impacted by substance use, mental health, and criminal justice issues
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Outlook, and internet applications
  • Ability to enter data into various electronic systems while maintaining the integrity and accuracy of the data
