Job Summary

The Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Wound Care Director to lead our Wound Healing Services team. As a key member of our clinical leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our wound care programs, ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care and exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Accountability: Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Wound Healing Services team, ensuring alignment with the hospital's mission and goals.
  • Program Development and Implementation: Develop and implement comprehensive wound care programs, including the design and implementation of clinical, operational, and financial frameworks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including administrative leadership, physicians, and staff, to ensure seamless communication and coordination of wound care services.
  • Quality Improvement and Patient Safety: Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and outcomes, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Research and Education: Stay current with the latest evidence-based advances in wound healing services and novel approaches to wound care, disseminating information to the care team and contributing to the development of educational programs.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Advanced Degree: Master's degree in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field.
  • Leadership Experience: Proven leadership experience in a healthcare setting, with a focus on wound care or a related field.
  • Clinical Expertise: Strong clinical expertise in wound care, with a focus on evidence-based practices and patient-centered care.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
