Hiring Incentives:
External candidates who have not been employed by the hospital in the last year may qualify for a hiring bonus of $15,000. This bonus will be distributed in several installments and is subject to applicable taxes as mandated by law. Additionally, relocation assistance is available for candidates moving from over 50 miles away, offering up to $9,200, which is also taxable.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Monday to Friday, day shift from 7 AM to 3:30 PM EST.
No weekend shifts are required, although coverage may be necessary in case of callouts.
POSITION OVERVIEW:
The CT Imaging Supervisor is responsible for overseeing staff and managing daily operations within a designated UVMMC Radiology service area.
- Ensures compliance with regulatory agency mandates regarding quality imaging, quality control, and quality assurance for technologists, radiologists, physicists, equipment, and patient records.
- Conducts clinical procedures and supervises the clinical training of students and technologists.
- Contributes to the development of Radiology policies and procedures.
- Assists the Radiology Manager with long-term planning and operational budgeting for the specific Radiology service area.
- As part of the management team, supports the manager in achieving departmental objectives.
- Graduation from a Radiologic Technology program accredited by CAHEA/JRCT.
- Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
- CT certification is mandatory.
- Verification of college transcripts is required; candidates should be prepared to provide a copy if invited for an interview.
- A minimum of five years of progressive experience in the CT modality.
- Supervisory experience is preferred.
- Experience in inspection and accreditation specific to the modality is required.
- Commitment to maintaining and enhancing clinical knowledge and skills.
- Participation in relevant continuing education programs is essential.
- Dedication to providing the highest level of patient care and service excellence.
- Ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- A collaborative, team-oriented attitude is crucial, along with the ability to work independently and engage effectively with physicians, managers, and staff across the department and hospital.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• COVID vaccination with two shots and a booster is required.
