Compensation: $18.00- $21.00/hr.

Supervisor: Chante Brown
Schedule: Mondays & Wednesdays 5pm-8:30pm, Tuesdays & Thursdays 8am-11:30am, Saturdays 9am-2:30pm
Overview: At Instrumental Sterile Processing Institute, we provide a comprehensive 6-month training program in sterile processing, emphasizing essential topics such as medical terminology, microbiology, surgical instruments, decontamination, and more. Our curriculum is designed around HSPA's (IAHCSMM) Eighth Edition textbook and workbook, ensuring that students gain practical experience in a simulated sterile processing environment, equipping them for real-world challenges. Instructors leverage their industry knowledge to deliver the curriculum effectively. Substitute Instructors are essential personnel who fill in for primary instructors during their absence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
- Exhibit expertise in teaching relevant subjects, including medical terminology, microbiology, surgical instruments, and decontamination.
- Continuously seek to enhance instructional quality through innovative teaching methods and techniques.
- Design and implement diverse teaching strategies and materials that cater to various educational backgrounds and learning styles.
- Assess student performance to track progress towards course objectives and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate student records and submit necessary documentation.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- 3-5 years of progressive experience in a Central Service environment.
- Certification from HSPA or CBSPD.
- Reliable transportation is required.
Our mission is to train and prepare a network of students to become Certified Registered Central Service Technicians, contributing to life-saving efforts one tray at a time.
