About the Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Certified Ophthalmic Assistant to join our pediatric eye care team at University Hospitals. This is an exceptional opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Duties
  • Assist with patient exams, including visual acuity testing, refraction, and ocular motility assessments.
  • Support ophthalmologists and other healthcare providers with diagnostic procedures, such as tonometry and pachymetry.
  • Provide patient education on eye health, contact lenses, and low vision services.

Requirements

  • High School Equivalent / GED required.
  • 1+ year work experience in an Ophthalmic Practice.
  • Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) through CMEs and Basic Life Support (BLS) Upon Hire.

Estimated Salary: $55,000 - $70,000 per annum
