About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator to maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including Linux-based servers and clusters, with a focus on system performance and security. As a Linux System Architect, you will be responsible for maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, and participating in the installation, integration, and maintenance of HPC systems and software environment.



Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain the operation of multi-user computer systems, ensuring seamless performance and security.
  • Coordinate with network administrators to ensure efficient system operation.
  • Set up administrator and service accounts, and maintain system documentation.
  • Tune system performance and install system-wide software.
  • Develop policies for computing resource allocation and participate in the installation and maintenance of HPC systems.


Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:




  • A Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years of experience (additional experience may substitute for the degree).
  • DoD 8570 certification - Security+ and OS cert (Linux+, RedHat, etc.) within 90 days.
  • General knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems.
  • Top Secret security clearance required (TS/SCI preferred).


Preferred Skills and Qualifications


  • Experience with Storage Architectures: SAN, SAS, FC, SATA.
  • Ability to understand application scaling issues related to problem resolution and algorithm choice.


Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $65.00 to $87.00 per hour, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, and a 401K plan. Our associates also enjoy paid leave, including Paid Sick Leave and Holiday pay where applicable.
