Job Overview

TekWissen Group is a leading workforce management provider with a global presence. We are seeking a skilled Memory Validation Lab Technician to join our team in Austin, TX.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform hardware and software testing to identify functional issues and failures on server systems.
  • Build and configure new platforms, including installation of hardware and software, to get systems online and ready for testing.
  • Track inventory and status of equipment coming into the lab for the team.
  • Communicate effectively with the team and maintain detailed notes on testing and results.
  • Meet deadlines for assigned tests and customer/internal roadmap requirements.
Requirements
  • AAS Degree in Computer Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Strong background in computer hardware, software, and PC architecture.
  • Extensive familiarity with Windows operating systems and Linux experience.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in PC hardware and software validation.
  • PC hardware and software troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with PC hardware devices and motherboard architecture.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of PC architecture to troubleshoot hardware compatibility issues.
  • Working knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems, including drivers.
  • Experience flashing BIOS using ROM burner or utilities.
  • Knowledge of voltage rails, signals, and components through the use of schematics.
  • Ability to read and decipher system registers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with platforms, hardware, post-silicon validation, and familiarity with Linux and Python scripts.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Soldering experience.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently.
  • Familiarity with basic DIMM terminology.
