Position Overview

DMA Claims, Inc., a leading provider of third-party claims administration services, is seeking an experienced Litigation Adjuster to manage a caseload of personal lines automobile claims in litigation, with a focus on Texas-based claims.

Key Responsibilities

  • Efficiently manage litigated BI and PD claims
  • Develop cost-effective litigation strategies and action plans
  • Evaluate lawsuit responses: negotiate settlements or assign defense counsel
  • Prepare and present large loss reports to clients
  • Collaborate with defense counsel on litigation plans and budgets
  • Obtain client approval for litigation plans and budgets
  • Ensure defense counsel adheres to plans and budgets
  • Attend mediations and trials when necessary
  • Write denial and reservation of rights letters

Requirements

  • Active Texas Adjuster's License
  • Minimum 3 years of experience handling personal lines automobile litigation claims
  • Proficiency in tort and contract law
  • Strong coverage analysis skills
  • Knowledge of human anatomy and injury-treatment relationships
  • Self-disciplined with ability to work independently
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proficiency in analyzing medical reports and math skills
  • Objectivity in conflict resolution with plaintiff attorneys
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational abilities
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize work effectively
