Summary of Job Duties:
- Participate in the interview process for the Director of the LPN program and LPN faculty.
- Review all program documents for the Technical Certificate LPN and make recommendations for improvement.
- Review past Arkansas Board of Nursing accreditation reports and documents; make recommendations for improvement; assist Dean Johnson and nursing faculty with the Summer 2024 accreditation report and site visit.
- Review physical facilities and classrooms associated with the LPN program and make recommendations for improvements.
- Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty to write ACEN eligibility, candidacy, and accreditation self-study report.
- Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty through ACEN site visit in Spring/Summer/Fall 2026.
- Mentor nursing faculty to shift from clinicians to academicians.
- Meet regularly with nursing faculty about classroom management, pedagogy, and student learning assessment and occasionally conduct classroom observations of teaching; make recommendations for improvement.
- Meet regularly with Dean Johnson to review program progress and make recommendations for improvement.
- Miscellaneous items as needed to expand, accredit, and sustain LPN program excellence.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing
5 or more years' experience in undergraduate nursing education programs
5 or more years' experience in the nursing field
