Lynn Public Schools is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant to provide speech and language services to eligible students under the direction of a licensed supervisor. As a vital member of our team, you will play a key role in maintaining speech and language special education records and documentation.

This is a long-term substitute assignment for School Year 2024-2025, offering a unique opportunity to work with our diverse student population and contribute to their academic and personal growth.

As a Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant, you will:

  • Plan and provide individual and group therapy to students consistent with speech/language goals contained in Individual Education Programs (IEP) under the direction of the licensed supervisor.
  • Participate in Team process as assigned by supervisor.
  • Determine student progress and readiness for termination of therapy services under the Supervising Speech-Language Pathologist.

You will work closely with classroom teachers to plan and implement classroom-based activities to improve oral and written language skills of students. Regular attendance at scheduled speech therapy meetings is expected.

The ideal candidate will have a valid Massachusetts License as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant, knowledge of habilitation and rehabilitation of speech, language, and hearing disorders, and an understanding of current education legislation/regulations.

A competitive salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications. The City of Lynn offers comprehensive health and dental benefits, life insurance, flexible spending plan, short term disability, and long term disability.
