Speech Language Therapist for School Settings

Sunbelt Staffing is seeking a highly qualified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in the Essex, CT area.

Job ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for conducting assessments and evaluations to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students. They will develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each student, providing direct therapy services both individually and in small groups.
The SLP will collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create and implement strategies to support student progress, monitoring and documenting student progress, and adjusting treatment plans as needed.
They will participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to the development of IEP goals, maintaining accurate and up-to-date student records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications and RequirementsTo be considered for this position, candidates must have a Master's degree in Communication Disorders from an accredited program, current Connecticut Speech Language Pathologist Licensure, and a Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), preferably with prior experience in a school setting.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, are essential for success in this role. Strong organizational and time management skills are also necessary to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.
