Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Registration and Scheduling
    • Register patients and obtain necessary demographic and financial information
    • Schedule appointments and procedures in a timely and efficient manner
  • Insurance Verification and Pre-Authorization
    • Verify patient insurance coverage and benefits
    • Initiate pre-authorization process as required
  • Payment and Collections
    • Collect payments from patients and issue receipts
    • Work towards collection goals and maintain cash funds/verification logs
  • Reporting and Documentation
    • Prepare and distribute reports, documents, and patient identification items as required
  • Communication and Customer Service
    • Communicate with patients regarding their estimated financial responsibility
    • Provide excellent customer service and respond to patient inquiries

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required
    • 2 years of experience in admissions, billing, collections, insurance, and/or customer service preferred
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of office equipment
    • Word processing, spreadsheet, and database skills
    • Mathematical skills and data entry experience

Work Environment

This is a non-management role that will report to a supervisor, manager, director, or executive.
