Assistant Manager Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Holiday Station Stores - Workday. As an Assistant Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing the daily operations of our store, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Store Manager in overseeing store operations, including hiring, supervising, and training staff.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers.
  • Monitor and maintain store inventory, ensuring accurate stock levels and efficient product rotation.
  • Manage cash handling and bookkeeping, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policies.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to drive sales growth and meet sales targets.
  • Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve business objectives, including sales growth, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months to 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods, with occasional lifting and carrying of up to 30 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to noise and temperature extremes.
  • Ability to use a variety of equipment, including cash registers, scanners, and other machines.
Work Environment:
  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent exposure to noise and temperature extremes.
  • Work independently, with occasional supervision from the Store Manager.
  • Collaborate with a team of employees to achieve business objectives.
