Key Responsibilities:

• Perform venipunctures on patients in the infusion suite with precision and care.
• Assemble and prepare supplies and equipment for scheduled procedures according to standards of care and physician preferences.
• Inspect equipment for proper working condition and maintain aseptic technique at all times.
• Maintain availability of needed medications and supplies to avoid delays in treatment.
• Report observed or suspected breaks in sterile technique and take action according to policy.
• Provide knowledge about side effects and potential adverse reactions of medications being administered.
• Correctly use, care for, clean, and sterilize instruments, supplies, and equipment as directed by the manufacturer's instructions for use.
• Assist in storing and stocking supplies as directed.
• Respond promptly to meet the needs of patients and physicians.
• Accurately document patient care in the appropriate platform and complete other forms according to facility policies and procedures.
• Keep all team members responsible for patient care informed about patient status.
• Provide comfort and reassurance to patients and their families.
• Maintain patients' privacy and dignity.
• Accurately comprehend and carry out verbal orders/directions from providers.
• Provide patient education related to medications administered or procedures performed.
• Facilitate appropriate authorization of scheduled procedures/infusions.
• Refill medication prescriptions that have been authorized by the physician.
• Coordinate surgeries with surgical reps/vendors.
• Perform post-operative patient assessments.
• Room patients and collect histories.
• Maintain office OSHA compliance.

Qualifications:

• Active Ohio Registered Nurses License.
• Current AHA BLS certification.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, preferred.
• Computer literacy.
• Previous infusion nurse experience, preferred.
