Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiology Diagnostic Team Lead to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a key member of our diagnostic team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the daily operations of our cardiology diagnostic department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of diagnostic technicians in the performance of electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and stress tests.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to ensure optimal patient care and adherence to standards of practice.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and communication.
  • Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in shared governance activities and lead department projects to drive improvement and innovation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of patient data and exams, and maintain accurate records and reports.
  • Develop and implement protocols and objectives to optimize staff performance, teamwork, patient safety, and customer service.
Requirements
  • Two years' experience as a technician performing a variety of electrocardiograms (12 lead EKGs), Holter monitor applications, and stress tests.
  • Basic computer knowledge and proficiency in operating multiple computer systems, including Hospital/Radiology/Cardiology Information Systems and Office software.
  • Ability to adapt to multiple ongoing priorities with minimal supervision and effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
  • Sufficient proficiency in speaking, reading, and writing the English language necessary to perform the essential functions of this job.
Working Conditions

This position may require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area and may require travel outside the Houston Metropolitan area.
