This position requires a minimum of 6 months of experience in vehicle or heavy machinery maintenance, along with a solid grasp of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems relevant to industrial power equipment. An AGSM performs essential duties akin to those of a semi-skilled vehicle or heavy equipment maintenance technician.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize the appropriate tools, equipment, and materials to conduct minor maintenance tasks, including inspections, troubleshooting, repairs, and component replacements on designated Ground Support Equipment.
  • Collaborate with a Lead Ground Maintenance Technician or a Ground Maintenance Technician on motorized machinery as required.
  • Accurately enter data to document work assignments and liaise with other personnel as necessary.
This is a full-time role with a competitive starting wage.

Internal Movement Eligibility:
  • Must maintain good standing in the current position without formal performance issues in the past six months. Transfers from the current department in the same station are limited to once every six months unless for promotional opportunities.
  • Must have held the current role for at least one year if transferring from outside the Ground Support Equipment division.
  • Must be in active status; however, eligibility for transfer may exist if returning to active status prior to the transfer date.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret technical documents, manuals, and schematics.
  • Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and coordination with colleagues and vendors.
  • Ability to respond to customer needs with minimal supervision and perform repairs under time constraints.
  • Completion of a two-year degree from a technical school is advantageous.
