Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Designer to join our team at Johnson Service Group. As a Mechanical Designer, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical systems and equipment for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop 2D and 3D models, detail drawings, and simulations for mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish design requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize 2D and 3D CAD and CAE software, such as SolidWorks and MicroStation, to create designs and models.
  • Ensure designs meet company regulations and client standards.
  • Support the procurement of equipment by developing procurement packages and reviewing quotations.
  • Review vendor submittals and resolve technical issues during procurement.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical design and equipment development.
  • Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD and CAE software programs.
  • Familiarity with equipment procurement and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Engineering-in-Training (EIT) certification in Mechanical, Chemical, or Nuclear Engineering.
  • Experience in equipment design analysis in DOE or commercial nuclear facilities.
