Job Summary:

Northrop Grumman is seeking a talented Engineer to join our team in Baltimore, MD. The Program/Factory Quality Engineer develops, modifies, applies, and maintains quality evaluation and control systems and protocols for processing materials into partially finished or finished materials product, focusing on defect minimization and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
  • Performs oversight and monitoring of program risks and opportunities.
  • Assists in the performance of independent quality reviews to ensure compliance with contractual and customer requirements.
  • Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction assuring process and product quality.

Requirements:

  • Quality Engineer Quality: Bachelor's + 2 years of exp: Master's + 0 years of exp; 6+ years of experience in leu of degree.
  • Principal Quality Engineer: Bachelor's + 5 years of exp: Master's + 3 years of exp; PhD + 0 years of exp. 9+ years of experience in leu of degree.
  • Active Top-Secret Clearance at the time of application. Ability to obtain a SCI.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance with SCI.
  • Experience working on Space hardware.
  • Manufacturing process knowledge a plus.
  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • Experience in planning and organizing activities across multiple manufacturing locations.
  • Experience with AS9100/ISO9001 Quality Management.

Salary Range: $75,700 - $113,500

Salary Range 2: $93,000 - $139,600

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
