Job Title: Semiconductor Fabrication Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Fabrication Specialist to join our team at Mirion Technologies (Canberra), Inc.

Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year

Job Description:

As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for processing and fabricating germanium and silicon-based crystals into functional radiation detection diodes.

Your duties will include executing workorders, handling acids and other chemicals, operating ion implanter and vacuum deposition equipment, performing routine maintenance on evaporators, sputtering machines, and other systems.

You will also be required to test finished crystals, troubleshoot process problems, train junior techs for processing when necessary, assist in executing regular inventory audits, and maintain a clean and organized work area.

In addition, you will need to demonstrate a strong understanding of detector fabrication related chemical processing, ability to handle chemicals per defined procedures and safety standards, and the ability to keep accurate records.

The ideal candidate will have 2-4 years of prior experience in vacuum deposition, ion implanter operation, and vacuum equipment maintenance. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with some college preferred.
