Inclusion Support Specialist

The City of Oregon City is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Inclusion Companion to provide on-site assistance to participants with physical, developmental, or emotional disabilities in our parks and recreation camps and programs.
Key Responsibilities- Adapt activities to meet the needs of participants with disabilities
- Follow inclusion or behavior plans to ensure a safe and successful experience
- Maintain a safe environment and promote participant success
- Work independently and as part of a team to provide support and accommodations
- Knowledge of ADA principles and modifications
- Ability to utilize behavior modification techniques and positive reinforcement
- Modern principles and practices of therapeutic recreation for developmentally disabled and special needs populations
- 1 year experience working with physically, developmentally, or emotionally disabled individuals
- Valid Oregon Driver's License and good driving record
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
