Responsibilities- Prepare patients for examinations and perform echocardiography studies using various modalities, including 2-dimensional echoes, M-mode, and Doppler studies.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of patient echo studies.
- Assist supervising physicians with training of residents, fellows, and other physicians.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest echocardiography platforms and technology.
- Read, interpret, and apply physicians' orders, policies, and procedures.
- Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
- Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
- Interpretation skills to facilitate comprehensive examinations and accurate preliminary interpretations.
- Successful completion of a cardiac echocardiography technology program.
