We are a leading provider of plasma-based therapies, and we are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Plasma Center Nurse to join our team.
Job SummaryThe Medical Support Specialist will be responsible for determining donor eligibility, managing donor reactions, and ensuring the overall safety and well-being of our donors.
Key Responsibilities- Determine donor eligibility accurately and in a timely manner, including proper management of informed consent, medical history interview, and physical examination.
- Evaluate and manage donor reactions, which occurs at the facility, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
- Manage donor deferral, reviews test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
- Initiate and investigate Post Donation Information (PDI) and refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs when necessary.
- Assist the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) program as required, including conducting pre-placement evaluations of new hires and maintaining employee medical records.
- Currently licensed or certified in the state where duties will be assigned, including Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification required.
- Fulfillment of state requirements for basic IV therapy.
- Minimum of two years in a clinical or hospital setting preferred.
