Job Summary and Qualifications
We are in search of a dedicated Medical Laboratory Technologist to deliver expertise and drive results. Our team thrives on collaboration and is eager to welcome an exceptional individual who shares our commitment to enhancing the patient experience.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct precise and timely laboratory analyses by evaluating proficiency testing samples as per guidelines, ensuring completion within designated timeframes.
- Assume departmental responsibilities in the absence of supervisory staff.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to patient results.
- Execute urgent procedures within established turnaround timeframes.
- Exhibit sound judgment and independent thinking in interpreting patient results, including performing delta checks.
- Review pending logs and result logs, addressing any outstanding workload or communicating with staff as necessary.
- Implement quality control procedures according to established protocols and manage critical laboratory specimens and test results.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of a 2-Year/Associate Degree is required.
- A 4-Year/Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Technologist is preferred.
- A State of Florida Technologist License is required or the ability to obtain one during the interview process.
- Licensure in one or more clinical specialty areas is preferred, with a generalist background being highly favored.
