Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician

Black Hills Works is seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with high mental health needs to achieve their goals and dreams.

Job Summary:

This is a full-time position that requires a Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field, such as psychology, social work, or human services. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or other disabilities with significant mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct supports to individuals with high behavioral needs, including education, role modeling, and encouragement.
  • Assist individuals with personal hygiene and care, as needed.
  • Drive individuals to and from work, day services, or community activities, as indicated on their individual support plan.
  • Responsible for low-level vehicle maintenance of assigned agency vehicles.
  • Comply with Black Hills Works, Health Department, and Administrative Rules of SD (ARSD) rules and regulations.
  • Build relationships with individuals, families, and team members through facilitation, partnerships, and personal and professional relationships.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field.
  • Ability to be credentialed and execute skills such as Sensory Processing, ABA, CPI, and Autism Spectrum.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or other disabilities with significant mental health needs.
  • Flexibility in work schedule and ability to adjust quickly to sudden workload changes.
