About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Athletic Trainer to join our team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our Orthopedic and Sports Medicine department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive sports medicine programs for our patients and athletes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development: Design and implement injury prevention programs, injury evaluations, injury management, injury treatment and rehabilitation, educational programs, and counseling for athletes.
  • Patient Care: Provide athletic training services for our athletic department, attend scheduled team practices and competitions, supervise and evaluate athletes requiring on-field and clinical experience, and coordinate/schedule physical exams and medical referrals for athletes.
  • Budget and Equipment Management: Assist the Athletic Director and Head Athletic Trainer in managing the budget, keep records, document injuries, process insurance claims, and evaluate and recommend new techniques and equipment to enhance the benefits of the program.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Athletic Training required.
  • Certified by the National Athletic Trainers' Association Board of Certification.
  • NYS Licensed Athletic Trainer.
  • Four to five years of experience in Athletic Training preferred.
  • Familiarity with NJCAA governing rules.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
