SARA is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and experienced Facility Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is based in Colorado Springs, CO, and offers the chance to develop professionally while working alongside a team of talented engineers, physicists, and technicians engaged in both ongoing and new projects that benefit our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform maintenance, servicing, and minor repairs on facilities and equipment.
  • Execute a variety of semi-skilled tasks in plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, electrical work, painting, and drywall installation.
  • Support colleagues in their responsibilities.
  • Adhere to established safety protocols and procedures.
  • Work from blueprints, manuals, and both written and verbal instructions.
  • Assist with Shipping & Receiving tasks, including managing incoming and outgoing shipments, creating necessary documentation, and ensuring accuracy in shipping contents.
  • Accompany visitors as needed.
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 2-5 years of general maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Basic computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to perform moderate to strenuous physical activities, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, and manual dexterity.
  • Indoor working environment that may be noisy but is generally clean, well-lit, and ventilated, with some moderate physical hazards.
  • Must be a US Citizen and capable of obtaining and maintaining a DoD Security Clearance if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of maintenance experience.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools.
  • Prior experience in shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory management.
  • Experience in HVAC maintenance.

Compensation:

Salary at SARA is determined by various factors, including location, the individual's unique combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $22 to $30 per hour. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this role and is one component of SARA's overall compensation package for employees.
