Job Title: Licensed Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency Department team at Animal Specialty Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional patient care, work collaboratively with our veterinarians and other staff members, and contribute to the overall success of our hospital.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and anesthesia support
  • Triage and assess patients, obtain vital signs, and provide nursing care to hospitalized patients
  • Assist with in-house laboratory testing, radiography, and other diagnostic procedures
  • Administer medications, fill prescriptions, and provide client education
  • Work collaboratively with our veterinarians and other staff members to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • Current licensure as a Veterinary Technician in New York State
  • Strong experience in emergency veterinary medicine, including in-patient care, laboratory operation, and radiology
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
