The role of a Respiratory Care Assistant involves delivering essential cardiopulmonary services to patients under the guidance of a licensed respiratory care professional.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation and operation of respiratory equipment and administer treatments as directed by healthcare providers.
- Perform a variety of respiratory interventions in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Support the setup and upkeep of mechanical ventilation systems.
- Carry out EKG and Holter monitoring tasks.
- Accurately record patient data and maintain comprehensive documentation.
- Comply with all regulatory standards while upholding a professional demeanor.
- Prioritize patient safety and deliver high-quality care across all age groups.
To be considered for this position, candidates must:
- Be enrolled in an accredited Respiratory Care Program recognized by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care.
- Hold registration with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board.
- Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Have completed the first year of a Respiratory Care Associate Degree Program.
- Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly adapt to new software.
- Maintain a valid North Carolina Driver's License.
