We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in High Point, NC.
Job Summary:The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver direct patient care, including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and managing wound care.
- Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
- Collaborate with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and provide updates on patient progress.
- Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, and medication management.
- Document patient care activities and observations accurately and promptly in compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
- Ensure a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of current nursing practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families, addressing their concerns and needs.
- Assist and/or perform minor medical procedures as directed by overseeing medical personnel.
- Valid LPN license in North Carolina.
- Completion of an accredited practical nursing program.
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting preferred, but not mandatory.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification may be preferred for certain settings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to effectively work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care and team collaboration.
- Empathy, compassion, and a commitment to patient-centered care.
This position may require working in various healthcare settings, including hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, or patient homes. Flexibility in scheduling is essential, with potential for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
